Soon after the two eaglets were hatched, the little gray ball of fluff could be seen. The mother seems to be looking with pride at the chick.
I am not sure what the male eagle is saying to his mate but he doesn’t look happy. I sat near them for many hours to get pictures of their family as they grew.
The Boyds’ American Bald Eagles are sitting side be side near their nest tree. The female is the larger eagle and has several white spots on her breast.
Boyds, MD has a pair of nesting eagles that I had the opportunity to photograph from March until July when the babies first flew. The father eagle was his landing gear down for the return to the nest.
